Justin Liles: Skies clearing today

June 1st: A nice Saturday, storm Sunday

A nice Saturday, storm Sunday

Following a morning with overcast skies the clouds will continue to decrease leading to an afternoon full of sunshine. Winds will be rather light most of the day but pick up after the lunch hour. By the afternoon, winds will likely be out of the WSW. Temperatures all over the region will climb into the lower 70s. It’s going to be a beautiful weekend. More rain is possible by the late afternoon to early evening with enough daytime heating. The stronger storms will arrive late Sunday afternoon and evening. Hail, damaging winds, and minor flooding will be the biggest threats. This daytime sun followed by evening rain trend will continue into next week.
