Duluth business community welcomes Angel Foundation
The Angel Foundation celebrated their new Duluth based staff at Hoops Brewing Tuesday June 4th.
The Angel Foundation is a non-profit organization that has distributed over 14 million for emergency assistance and provided more than 54 thousand program services to adults with cancer and their families in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
The Angel Foundation aims to increase their impact on Saint Louis County and surrounding areas with their Duluth based team.
“I was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 35, and I was self-employed and so was my partner. I knew I needed to take time off of work during my treatments,” said grant recipient Casey Maleska. “I was getting behind on bills and Angel Foundation gave us a grant to pay our bills. They also provide monthly events for families to come and take their minds mind off cancer which is so important.”
