Finland, Minn. man found dead in Baptism River

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office says a Finland, Minn man was found dead in the Baptism River in May. They responded on the 12th. It took from 11:44 a.m. to 3:18 p.m. for them to find and recover the body.

Zachary Bulen’s body was found at the base of Illgen Falls North of Tettegouche State Park.

They were able to identify the man through some clothing and his wallet. The Minnesota BCA confirmed this with finger prints.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office got help from Lake County Rescue, Minnesota DNR, Tettegouche State Park, Silver Bay Police, and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA).

Authorities don’t know the cause of death yet, but they are still investigating.
