Hibbing/Chisholm names Aaron Jamnick new head boys hockey coach
Aaron Jamnick has been appointed the next Hibbing/Chisholm Bluejackets head boys hockey coach, after having been with the program since 2016-17 as an assistant.
Jamnick graduated from Hibbing High School in 2009 and later went on to play Division I hockey at Providence College.
Jamnick was named head coach after the school board’s approval during Wednesday’s meeting, and takes over a really strong program, as the Bluejackets sported a 19-9 record last season while making it to the Section 7A championship game.
Eric Rewertz, the previous coach, resigned after four seasons and a 59-39-1 record in his tenure.
The Bluejackets fell to Hermantown in the section final, 4-0.
