Denfeld theater standout earns trip to NYC for being a true triple threat

Reagan Kern heading to the Big Apple to learn from theater professionals

Denfeld theater standout Reagan Kern is heading to New York City this month after earning the Triple Threat award.

Reagan Kern is really kicking off the summer into her senior year.

The Denfeld theater standout has earned an all-expense paid trip to New York City, to learn from top industry professionals.

She was part of a prestigious Hennepin Theatre Trust Spotlight Education program, and earned the Triple Threat award.

The triple stands for singing, dancing, and acting. She showcased those skills during a two and a half week period at the end of the school year, heading down to the cities and back every day.

There are only four students who earned that title from Minnesota, and she’s the only one from outside the metro.

She found out Tuesday night, after the second showcase performance. “I remember feeling grateful for this opportunity. After all, I live 2.5 hours away. And it was so rewarding. It didn’t really hit me until I hugged my mom,” she told us.

The trip is later this month, and is six days. Have so much fun, Reagan!
