Fire reported at Uptown Mall in Virginia

Multiple agencies from across the Range responded to a fire at the Uptown Mall in Virginia Thursday afternoon. The call came in around 3:30 p.m.

According to the Northland Fire Wire, the blaze was contained to the storage room. Shoppers and employees of the mall did have to be evacuated. No injuries were reported.

Black smoke can be seen billowing out from a door near Angel Nail in video from the Northland Fire Wire.

The sprinkler system worked to contain the blaze as well.

The Virginia Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
