Shenandoah concert in Two Harbors canceled

The upcoming Rockin’ the Docks with Shenandoah Summer Concert is now canceled.

Lovin’ Lake County sent out a notice on Thursday.

The board said this was due to the promoter having problems securing a liquor/beverage vendor for the event, and then being treated poorly by a potential vendor.

In a statement, the board said, in part, “It is disheartening to witness this kind of treatment from some of our local community when being offered an opportunity. We do not believe that’s who we are in Two Harbors and Lake County, and the unprofessional and negative behavior taking place around the logistics of this event does not represent the ideals of Lovin’ Lake County.”

The board went on to say this is not due to ticket sales or the timing of the recall of the mayor.
