Former Bulldogs Hunt, Olson ink new deals with pro teams
Two former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) hockey players, Reece Hunt and Quinn Olson, have signed new deals with professional hockey teams.
Reece Hunt has been acquired by YLuleå Hockey/MSSK and has signed next season with Vårat Gäng, while Quinn Olson has re-signed with the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Hunt, a graduate forward last year, enjoyed her first and only season as a Bulldog, putting up 34 points with 18 goals and 16 assists.
Olson, a former assistant captain for UMD, re-upped his deal with the Ontario Reign for one year. The forward signed with the Reign on April 6 and played six playoff games with their ECHL affiliate, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits. During that span he tallied two goals and two assists.
