The Duluth Superior Community Foundation using Disaster Relief funds to aid those affected by flooding
The Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation announced they are raising funds to aid those affected by the severe flash flooding in the Arrowhead Region Wednesday June 19th.
Some of the areas hit hardest by the flooding are in the Community Foundation’s service area including the Iron Range, The North Shore, and the Bayfield Peninsula.
“Our entire region needs assistance as we begin rebuilding and recovering. We are committed to being part of that process and providing community members and those who love our region a way to help,” said Shaun Floerke, President and CEO of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation. “We are proud of our strong nonprofit community, which makes our region resilient. We aim to support these nonprofits as they help people on the front lines of recovery.”
The Disaster Relief Fund will be aimed towards mold remediation, temporary housing assistance, mental health services, infrastructure repair, community clean-ups and more.
