Amazon is cutting down on plastic waste. The company announced it has reduced the use of plastic air pillows in packages by 95%. Amazon has switched to paper filler in most north American deliveries, aiming to eliminate unnecessary plastic waste by the end of the year.

YouTube is cracking down on people who use virtual private networks which hides a user’s IP address.
People have been known to use VPNs to bypass regional pricing – getting cheaper premium plans.
The company says it can now “detect” when a subscriber is lying about their signup country.

Instagram just made livestreaming more private. Users can now broadcast live videos only to their close friends list. Up to three friends can join, making it a more personal and secure experience for small groups
