Tebello Ramakongoana is the Men’s Half Marathon winner

Tebello Ramakongoana is the Garry Bjorklund Men’s Half Marathon champion for 2024. The 27-year-old is from Lesotho crossed the finish line with an unofficial result of 1:00:17, setting a new course record.

This is Ramakongoana’s first time participating in the Half Marathon in Duluth.

Ramakongoana told race officials that he was using the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon as a training race ahead of the full marathon in the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. He set a personal record at last year’s Nelson Mandela Bay Half Marathon with a time of 1:00:35. This time was also a new national record for Lesotho. which is a landlocked kingdom in South Africa.

The men’s course record was set in 2013 by Meb Keflezighi with a time of 1:01:22.
