Grand Rapids Community Tech Hub now open

New Community Tech Hub open in Grand Rapids

The Grand Rapids Community Tech Hub just opened its doors on Monday.

Ten more computers just arrived at the Community Tech Hub in Grand Rapids.

This spot opened on Monday, and the coordinator can’t wait for the community to check things out. And it’s all free of charge.

Along with computers and a 3D printer, there will soon be a music recording studio and a place to fly drones.

All elements that the community said they were interested in.

Josiah Nelson, the coordinator, shared, “Just creating things virtually and digitally online. We want to help them explore technology at no cost to them.”

Smart North runs the hubs. There is one in Deer River and one in Minneapolis. They just received $700,000 in state funding.
