Morning fog has improved for inland communities, but dense fog lingers near Lake Superior. Visibility continues to slowly improve this afternoon with mostly cloudy skies lingering, then areas of fog are expected to return tonight.
The week ahead will feature several opportunities for rain. Today we look to the Arrowhead and Northwest Wisconsin for spotty showers and isolated thunderstorms. The Head of the Lake is on the eastern edge of rain chances tonight and through the day Tuesday. Wednesday features additional shower and thunderstorm chances, mostly in the afternoon. A slow moving system then keeps rain chances with us both Thursday and Friday.
Temperatures will be close to average as a region in the days ahead, but an east wind will continue to keep shoreline communities cooler. Thursday is the only day with a southwest wind.
