Second man arrested in connection with April 12 homicide in Duluth

U.S. Marshalls arrested a 34-year-old Canton, Michigan man on Wednesday in connection to the April 12 homicide of Chantel Moose in Duluth. An arrest warrant had been issued for three people by the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office on April 12.
According to the Duluth Police Department, Darrius Plummer was taken into custody on Wednesday, June 26 on 2nd Degree Murder Without Intent and 2nd Degree Assault with a Dangerous Weapon charges. Plummer is the second person charged for allegedly being involved in the death of 27-year-old Chantel Moose.

Moose died from a stab wound to the neck at a local hospital on Friday, April 12. According to the investigation, officers responded to the 100 block of W 1st Street at around 2:15 a.m. on reports of gunshots and a possible stabbing. When police arrived they found Chantel Moose with a stab wound to the neck.
Earlier in May, 26-year-old Kimonte Cadge of Illinois was arrested for 2nd Degree Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Police say a third man, 26-year-old Trayvon Walters of Duluth, may have been involved. Authorities say the warrant for Walters is still active.
Police say this remains an ongoing investigation.
