Superior Fourth of July parade

Local talk show taking an uplifting look at Twin Ports life by providing news & info relevant to our area.

The Superior, Wisc. Fourth of July Parade kicked off at 11 a.m. on Belknap Street Thursday.

Marchers included the Superior Fire Department, Veterans from the local American Legion, and the Superior Spartans marching band.

Parade goers like Michelle Thimm say they like the tradition of the event. “I want my kids to be able to grow up and have those memories that I had when I was younger… just to be able to come out and celebrate.”

“The candy is always a fun time for the kids. I mean, myself too, even,” she added.

The Parade was followed by the Dennis VanAlstine memorial car and motorcycle show on Tower Avenue.

Fourth of July celebrations run until 11 p.m. on Barkers Island with food vendors, live music from Soulhead and Born Too Late, and an evening fireworks show.
