The second annual Under the Big Top festival is returning to Ely Saturday, July 11th. Music and fun will start at 7 p.m. In partnership with the Spiritwood Foundation, Veterans On The Lake Resort is hosting the event.

Executive Director of the Spiritwood Foundation, Donna Surface says all proceeds will help the Veterans On The Lake directly. Money raised will help update cabins to make them handicap accessible.

Along with starting the non-profit, Donna and her husband Pat are always musicians. You’ll be able to hear more from their band, Pat & Donna Surface & American Pie – Marina Whight and Butch Schmidt.

Other performances this weekend will come from Monroe Crossing and LaPlant Road. At the end Pat and Donna says there will be an epic jam session on stage with dueling fiddles and mandolins.
