Esko man dies in roll-over crash in Douglas County

One man is dead following a single vehicle roll-over crash in the town of Superior. According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the call came in at 2:52 p.m. on Monday, July 8 when a passing motorist spotted debris on the roadway in the 4600 block of Darrow Road.

According to authorities, 34 year old, Ryan D.S.S. VanPuymbrouck of Esko, Minnesota was pronounced dead at the scene. The report says VanPuymbrouck was driving southbound on Darrow Road when he lost control. The vehicle rolled several times and VanPuymbrouck was ejected from the vehicle.

The crash is under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Also assisting on scene was the town of Superior Volunteer Fire Department, the Wisconsin DNR and Mayo Ambulance.
