Hermantown native Ryan Sandelin signs with Iowa Wild

Hermantown High School alumni Ryan Sandelin put pen to paper, signing a one-year two-way contract with the Iowa Wild. The Iowa Wild is the AHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild.

The announcement came from the Iowa Wild Website on Thursday July 11th.

Sandelin played out his four collegiate seasons for Minnesota State-Mankato from 2019 to 2023, where he totaled 76 points in 128 games. Sandelin took on his father, UMD men’s hockey head coach Scott Sandelin, throughout his college career.

The twenty-five-year-old forward played for the Colorado Eagles this past season where he recorded nine points in 37 games.
