Virginia police warn fake $100 bills have been circulating

The Virginia Police Department reports that they have received several reports of counterfeit/fake $100 bills that have been circulated at businesses around the Virginia area.

Chief Nicole Matson said the bills have “Motion Picture Purposes” listed on the back and the serial number PM 257821811 K3 listed on the front.

Chief Matson said the department is working with impacted businesses are that they are attempting to identify a suspect.

The public is asked to closely examine all $100 bills and report fakes to their local police department.
