Temporary closure of W First Street in Duluth Thursday

City of Duluth street maintenance crews will be temporarily closing a portion of W First St. on Thursday, July 25 at 7:30 AM to perform crack-sealing operations between Mesaba Ave. and Sixth Ave. W.

“Drivers should detour around the affected one-block portion of First Street by driving up to Second
Street or down to Superior Street while the street is being serviced,” explained Kelli Latuska, the public information officer with the City of Duluth.

Latuska said the rack-sealing operations should be complete by mid-afternoon on the same day.

At that point, traffic will then resume as usual.
