Another Plante commits to UMD hockey

When you nourish a seed, it can sprout into a beautiful ‘Plante’, and that’s what UMD men’s hockey has done as sixteen-year-old Victor Plante verbally announced his commitment to play for the Bulldogs.

Victor will be the third Plante on the Bulldog roster as he joins brothers Zam and Max – who will both be making their debuts in the 2024-2025 season. Victor’s father, Derek Plante is also a Bulldog’s alum, UMD athletics Hall of Fame member and former men’s hockey assistant coach.

Victor was one of the two leading scorers in the 2024 Hockey National Championships Tier I 15-only Division and is currently on the 2024-2025 U.S. National U17 Team Roster.
