Duluth Fire Department issues red flag warning for dangerous swimming conditions

The Duluth Fire Department issued a warning for dangerous swimming conditions for Park Point beaches effective immediately on Sunday.

Wind and wave conditions have presented the potential for rip currents, which can be dangerous and life-threatening to anyone swimming in the water.

Red flags are flying along the beach at the South Pier (south of lift bridge), 12th St. beach, Lafayette Park and two locations at the Park Point Beach.

The red flag warning is currently issued until Monday August 5th at 10:00AM.
