911 outage in Mellen

UPDATE: The issue has been resolved, as of 6:40 pm Sunday.

According to the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office, 911 landline calls are down in the Mellen, Wisconsin area. Mellen EMS and Fire will be standing by at the Mellen EMS Firehall for assistance if needed.

The Mellen EMS Firehall is located at 124 Wilderness Drive. The Ashland County Sheriff’s Office says to go to that location for assistance if needed or call the non-emergency number at 715-682-7023, option 1.

The partial 911 outage appears to be affecting landlines only as of Sunday afternoon. More information will be provided as it is obtained.
