Former Duluth Husky makes MLB debut

Former Duluth Huskies player Nick Sogard made his major league debut for the Boston Red Sox on Friday.

Sogard spent the summer of 2018 with the Huskies, playing in 57 games and hitting .295 with four doubles, one triple and 16 stolen bases. He also drove in 37 runs for Duluth.

Sogard played collegiately at Loyola Marymount, and bounced around minor league clubs before being promoted from the Worcester Red Sox to the Boston Red Sox.

Nick Sogard is the cousin of Eric Sogard, a MLB journeyman that was a Brewer for two seasons.
