Play structure removed from Playfront Park in Duluth

A popular play structure was removed from Playfront Park in Duluth on Wednesday, August 7. Kelli Latuska, the Public Information Officer with the city, said the X-Wave play structure was removed due to manufacturer discontinuation.

“While the X-Wave play structure is a playground favorite, the structure and its parts are no longer manufactured, and the last remaining part available to the City of Duluth was installed earlier this year,” said Latuska.

Duluth’s Parks and Recreation staff are working with a playground equipment manufacturer to find a replacement play structure and determine the timeline for its installation.
