The Duluth Huskies beat the Waterloo Bucks on Wednesday, 3-1, while the Eau Claire Express lost, inching the Huskies to a tie for first place, an in turn a playoff berth.
The Huskies didn’t need to put the bat on the ball early on, as a passed ball scored the games only run for the first seven innings.
The Bucks gave up a run in the top of the 8th to knot the game up at 1-1, but a two run bottom of the 8th inning solidified the win for the Huskies.
The Huskies and Bucks go back at it on Thursday.
