On Tuesday the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) announced they partnered with the 218 Champions Collective. They are a third-party organization focused on making Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) deals more accessible.

218 Champions Collective will help UMD student-athletes maximize connections, and provide prospective donors or businesses the opportunity to make contributions with any budget. UMD explained that, “memberships and other offerings will soon be available, and fans and businesses can contribute to a general fund for flexible distribution or directly to specific student-athletes or programs.”

UMD stated this partnership is vital in helping them attract and retain student-athletes “amidst the rapidly changing world of NIL.”
