Cop on a Rooftop raises money for Special Olympics Minnesota
The Cop on the Rooftop fundraiser event at the Duluth Dunkin’ Donuts, and Dunkin’ Donuts across the State kicked off Friday August 16th.
The Duluth Police Department and other police agencies partnered with Dunkin’ Donuts in an effort to raise money for Special Olympics Minnesota.
Police officers greeted visitors from the roof, manned the drive thru line, and asked for donations.
This is the 8th year the Duluth Police Department has participated in the Torch Run fundraising event.
This year the event took off all over Minnesota and has raised over 100,000 dollars for Special Olympics Minnesota.
“The funds go towards special Olympic athletes,” said Duluth Police Officer Jeremy O’Connor. “That’s programing, medical appointments, education, all kinds of stuff. All of the funds are going to them.”
