New road safety project in Wisconsin gained the seal of approval
Govenor Evers has signed a contract for a safety improvement project on the US 2/US 53 interchange in Superior, WI. And work has begun as of Wednesday, August 21st.
To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Govenor Tony Evers has signed a $335,714 contract with Livonia-based prime contractor RAM Construction Services of Michigan, Inc., for a safety improvement project on the US 2/53 interchange southeast of the Douglas County city of Superior.
Construction was scheduled and begun as of Wednesday, Aug. 21. During the construction phase, US 2 & US 53 will remain open to traffic, but motorists will encounter single-lane closures as work is completed.
The project is scheduled for completion in September.
