Groves Learning Organization offers tutoring options to help Northland students succeed

Tutoring options to help students here in the Northland

Groves Learning Organization is happy to offer tutoring in Duluth, both virtual and in person.

School is already underway for some, and starts next week for many. If you’re worried about the summer slide, there are options like tutoring.

Groves Learning Organization offers tutoring at the Marshall School in Duluth.

Meghan Miller, Director of Learning Center Individualized Programs for Groves, said it’s important to intervene early, and get an assessment done.

“We can tailor tutoring to their individual needs. We try and build it in twice a week, and it can be done before or after school,” she explained. “And sometimes it can be built in during school.”

The results can mean better participation in the classroom, too.

“We tend to see an increase in engagement and paying attention more. Students often feel more confident, and use those self-advocacy skills,” Miller added.

There are also virtual options available.
