Changes on 3rd St; opens new pathways

Your local commutes around Duluth may have just improved, as the reconditioning project on 3rd street has hit its next stage.

This next stage is allowing most avenues to reopen on Monday, August 26th. The left lane on 3rd St. will remain close as the one way from East to Westy will remain open. The left lane of 3rd Street will remain closed between 12th Avenue E and Mesaba Avenue with traffic using the right lane while final utility work is completed.

Parking will not be allowed within the construction limits due to the narrow available lane. Avenues
may be re-closed as conditions require to safely complete the work within the intersections.

The project is anticipated to be complete by the end of September— tapping off the 3rd street reconditioning project.
