Packers release Joseph, sign 13 to practice squad

On Wednesday the Green Bay Packers announced they waived kicker Greg Joseph, and signed 13 players to their practice squad.

- DL James Ester
- K Alex Hale (NFL International Player Pathway program)
- WR Julian Hicks
- G/T Donovan Jennings
- CB Kalen King
- RB Nate McCrary
- RB Ellis Merriweather
- CB Robert Rochell
- G/C Lecitus Smith
- TE Messiah Swinson
- WR Jalen Wayne
All 13 players signed to the practice squad spent time with the Packers during the 2024 training camp, per Green Bay’s release.
Additionally, the Packers claimed Brayden Narveson off waivers from the Tennessee Titans on Wednesday with plans to begin the season with the rookie from N.C. State as their kicker. Narveson was 6 of 7 on field-goal attempts for Tennessee in the preseason with a long of 59 yards.
