The season finale of the Wednesday Night at the Races event took off Wednesday August 28th. The free event started at 6pm with children ages 14 and under racing at the historic Wade Stadium.

All participants got tee shirts at the end of the races, and the night was topped off with an end of season picnic.

The Young Athletes Foundation partnered with Ski Hut to hold a raffle among participants for a free balance bike, courtesy of Ski Hut.

Balance bikes are low bikes without pedals, designed to help toddlers practice balance and coordination before transitioning to a regular bike.

The program aims to help youth build a love of running from an early age as well as further their mission of providing pathways and opportunities for our community’s children to live healthy and active lifestyles.
