UWS women's soccer shuts out CSS in Bridge Battle

The University of Wisconsin-Superior (UWS) women’s soccer team shut out the College of St. Scholastica (CSS) 2-0 Wednesday in their annual Bridge Battle.

Kamryn Hill scored just four minutes and 20 seconds into the first half at the NBC Spartan Sports Complex to give UWS the early 1-0 lead. Niya Wilson would make that 2-0 scoring at the 26:24 mark of the first half.

The Yellowjackets’ Quinn Clark earned the shutout making four saves in net. CSS keeper Gracie Meagher recorded eight saves.

UWS is now undefeated in the Bridge Battle since 2021. Overall CSS leads the series, which dates back to 1993, 18-4-1.

UWS (2-1) next battles UW-Platteville Saturday at 2 p.m. at Duluth’s Public Schools Stadium. CSS (0-3) will face UW-Platteville Friday at 3 p.m. at CSS.
