Property value average on the rise in Superior

The City of Superior has concluded its first citywide property assessment since 2005. In that time, the average real estate value in the city has grown. Property owners are being mailed their new property value assessments.

“Property owners have the right to raise formal objections regarding their new assessments,” explained City Assessor Terry Johnson. “To do so, they must submit their objections in writing using a form available at the City Clerk’s Office. Importantly, these notices of appeal need to be filed at least 48 hours before the Board’s initial meeting on October 2.

Johnson also stated that efforts will continue to be made through September to ensure the most precise and accurate tax rolls.
