‘An end of an era,’ at the NCHC media day

The National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) opened its 2024-2025 season on Thursday hosting its annual Media Day at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
The 2024-25 season marks the end of an era, as the 2025 Frozen Faceoff will be the final year with the Xcel Energy Center as its home, as the Faceoff will relocate to on-campus sites.
“So, while bittersweet, we are excited to make this the very best year as we engage in our own road to the 2025 NCHC Frozen Faceoff,” said NCHC Commissioner Heather Weems.
In her State of the Conference Address Weems also discussed welcoming Arizona State University for their first season as a member of the conference.
UMD will face off against the ASU Sun Devils in Arizona on December 6th and 7th, and will play host to them February 14th and 15th at AMSOIL Arena.
