According to St Louis County Courthouse case documents, an eighteen-year-old female spoke to an investigator at the St Louis County Sheriff’s Office on July 6th, stating that she met Metsa on the dating app Tinder and was invited to Metsa’s cabin on July 4th, which is located in Beatty Township.

The female, along with Metsa went to Metsa’s cabin after stopping in Hibbing to pick up one of Metsa’s friends. At the cabin the female began drinking alcohol. The female states she drank about four shots of alcohol and became tipsy but remained cognizant and rational.

Metsa also confirmed that the female’s Tinder account indicated her age as eighteen, and he confirmed this with the female when he picked her up on July 4th.
