Shoot for Fun raises over $138,000 for Northland Adaptive Recreation

Shoot for Fun another big success for Northland Adaptive Recreation

Shooting clays for a cause means $138,000 for Northland Adaptive Recreation.

Another very successful Shoot for Fun is on the books.

Organizers announced that over $138,000 was raised for Northland Adaptive Recreation. And the check unveiling happened at Kolar Chevrolet Buick GMC, the presenting sponsor of the event.

Eric Larson, the Program Manager at Northland Adaptive, shared, “We had record numbers of volunteers turn out. Collectively, 1,400 volunteer hours went into making this event happen. The numbers of shooters were up. We had 555 that participated in sporting clays.”

Those participants included five trap teams from area high schools.

Larson added that it’s also a friend finder, helping generate awareness about the need for volunteers for their programming on the ski hills and other outdoor spots.
