Justin Liles: A pleasant weekend, cooling down on Sunday

September 20th: Feeling more like fall by Sunday

Feeling more like fall by Sunday

In the wake of last night severe thunderstorms its good to know that there wasn’t a lot of widespread damage. We did get damage around the region, but it was spread out in smaller chunks. The hardest hit area was likely near cotton when a tornado touch down dropping trees and powerlines. No body was hurt in this case. There were other reports south of the Twin Ports near Mahtowa. The lightning sure did put on a great show last night though.

Now the severe weather is gone and all eyes are on the weekend. This weekend is Fall Fest in Chester Park.

Saturday is looking pleasant with sunshine and temperatures in the 70’s. A cold front will pass through late Saturday afternoon and evening. Some thunderstorms are possible but nothing on the severe level. Any developing storms will likely be in northern Wisconsin. Following the cold front temperatures will take a dive and start to feel more like fall. Are temperatures are going to hang around the mid to upper 60s. We’re also going to see plenty of sunshine. T

he middle of next week to the end of next week may see some big changes coming as temperatures looks to climb again. We are going to stay conservative now because it’s over a week out. Don’t be surprised to see 80s possible again by the end of next week.
