Maloney’s Baloney bratwursts may contain undeclared allergen
A public health alert has been issued by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) due to a misbranding of Wild Rice & Cheddar Cheese Bratwursts and Wild Rice & Cranberry Bratwursts produced by Maloney’s Baloney in Durand in Pepin County in Wisconsin.
This alert is due to the product being misbranded and containing an undeclared allergen.
The Wild Rice & Cheddar Cheese Bratwursts and Wild Rice & Cranberry Bratwursts contain wheat, a known food allergen, which was not declared on the products’ labels.
The DATCP says the products were sold at the Maloney’s Baloney retail store at 307 6th Ave W. in Durand on or before September 17, 2024.
No illnesses have been reported, and anyone with signs or symptoms of a foodborne illness or allergic reactions should contact their doctor.
Consumers who have this product can discard it.
