Grandma’s Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon full in less than 18 hours

Grandma’s Marathon says that registration for the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon is completely full. Registration opened on October 1st. Race officials say 8,000 participants signed up for the June 21, 2025 event.

Zach Schneider from Grandma’s Marathon said this was the largest opening day ever, (after the half marathon lottery ended in 2018.)

In a Facebook post they say, “Less than 18 hours later… We’re not crying. You’re crying. THANK YOU to everyone for always choosing to spend your time and energy on little ol’ Duluth. Now the real work begins. We’ll see you in June!”

Early on Wednesday, October 2, race officials said there are currently 3,600 runners signed up for the full marathon and 2,000 for the William A. Irvin 5K.
