Justin Liles: Freezing conditions and the northern lights

Temperatures falling in to the upper 20s and low 30s are expected to result in frost and freezing conditions tonight. Frost Advisories and Freeze Warnings have been issued through early. Friday morning. The next two night the skies will be clear, and the result may lead to a good showing of the Northern lights.

On Saturday, gusty southerly winds are expected ahead of a cold front. Gusts to 30 to 40 mph are not out of the question for much of the region. There is a chance of some light rain popping up late Saturday afternoon. This would be great to help reduce our critical fire conditions around the region. Winds will be even higher on Sunday. Gusts could exceed 40 mph. Heading into next week drier conditions return along with gusty winds.
