#4 UMD women’s hockey pulls of road victory in top 10 matchup
Friday night was a real test for the 4th ranked UMD women’s hockey team, but one they passed, taking down #7 Colgate, 3-2.
The Bulldogs find their stride in the second period, Mary Kate O’Brien stole the puck and skated all the way into Colgate territory and snapped one into the goal to put the Bulldogs on the board.
But in the third period, Colgate found themselves ahead 2-1, before UMD’s Tova Henderson took advantage of the power play to tie things up.
Then, the puck got loose up front, Clara Van Wieren found twine for the lead.
UMD takes home their third win in a row with their 3-2 win over Colgate, and take on Colgate at 2:00 on Saturday.
