#4 UMD women’s hockey can’t complete sweep against #8 Colgate

The 4th ranked UMD women’s hockey team couldn’t keep up with #8 Colgate offensively on Saturday, falling 3-2 for their first loss of the season.
The Bulldogs got on the board first thanks to Clara Van Wieren’s second goal of the two game series, but the Bulldogs quickly surrendered the equalizer before the end of the period.
Colgate would add a goal in the second and third periods before Olivia Wallin scored one of her own to cut the deficit to 3-2.
The Bulldogs will look to bounce back from their first loss against Wisconsin next Saturday.
