#18 UMD men's hockey crushes Manitoba in exhibition
18th ranked UMD men’s hockey was dominant on Sunday in an exhibition match against the University of Manitoba, beating them 7-2.
The Bulldogs, similarly to their matchup with Bemidji State on Saturday, trailed early in the first period.
However, unlike Saturdays matchup, the Bulldogs would flip the switch and net seven goals.
Kyle Bettens was first on the board, knotting the game up at 1-1 in the second period.
The second period would see two goals from captain Dominic James, and one from both Harper Bentz and Jack Smith. In the third period, Aaron Pionk and Anthony Menghini found the back of the net.
UMD returns to meaningful action on Friday at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell.
