Sabrina Ullman: Frost possible tonight

October 6: Frost tonight

Frost is possible tonight. We warm back to the 60s starting Monday.

Chilly conditions continue for tonight. A Frost Advisory has been issued throughout the Northland, in effect from 1 am to 9 am. Overnight lows may flirt with freezing in some areas, but others will only drop to the upper 30s.

After a breezy day, we will slowly but surely see winds become a little calmer. Tonight will have west winds of 5-15 mph, and Monday will have northwest winds of 5-15 mph. Right now, it looks like Tuesday- Thursday will be less windy.

Today was the coolest day of the week. Monday will have highs ranging from 59 degrees near the international border to the upper 60s towards Pine and Burnett Counties. The end of the week will reach the low to mid-70s before we see temperatures return to slightly above normal.

More dry weather is expected for this upcoming week. Although winds will be less strong, the ongoing moderate drought and low relative humidity could mean more fire weather risk. The next chance of rain is Saturday, and it is a small chance currently.
