After the second-driest September and more dry conditions for the first third of October, we are finally getting rain. Light rain will become heavier and more widespread late tonight, continuing into Sunday morning. Total accumulation tonight and Sunday is expected to be half an inch to three-quarters of an inch for most of the Northland.

Overnight lows will be in the upper 30s to low 40s. Patchy fog is likely, clearing by 10 am. A calm wind will become northwest after midnight and pick up speed on Sunday.

Sunday will be cool with afternoon highs near 50 degrees. Rain is likely in the morning, and we could see a few light shows in the afternoon and evening.

More rain is expected on Monday, and we could see a few snowflakes sneak in early Monday morning. Once that round of rain clears, we will have sunny skies for a few days. Another round of rain is likely on Friday.
