Hermantown and Proctor softball collect wins, Northwood/Solon Springs tie

Hermantown, Proctor, and Northwoods/Solon Springs softball all were in action Monday afternoon.

Hermantown was taking on Virginia, Hawks Josie Anderson would send two runners home in the bottom of the first. Lindsey Ewer also collected an RBI on the day, as the Hawks won 11-0.

Proctor was up against Moose Lake/Willow River. Payton Rodberg would hit an opposite field home run for an early 3-0 lead, as the rails won 3-1.

Drummond was visiting the 10-1 Northwoods/Solon Springs team.

It was a pitching showcase early as Drummond’s Emily Kinnunen, who is fourth in the state in strike outs, would retire the first inning.

Due to lightening the game would be called in the seventh inning, as the Evergreens now sit 10-1-1.
