#3 UMD women’s hockey stifled by #1 Wisconsin’s offensive attack
Third ranked UMD women’s hockey couldn’t keep up with top ranked Wisconsin, falling 7-3 on Sunday, resulting in a sweep.
The Bulldogs were able to knot the game up at 1-1 when Nina Jobst-Smith found the back of the net, but eventually the Wisconsin offense would pull away, scoring three goals before UMD could get on the board again. When they did, it was Olivia Mobley who scored, cutting the deficit to 4-2.
Wisconsin would put up two more goals before Mobley struck again for her second goal of the day, however, it was too late for UMD to mount any sort of comeback.
The Bulldogs will look to shake off the two losses when they take on St. Thomas on Friday.
