On Wednesday night WDIO Sports kicked off their 2024 season finale of Prep Sports Extra with highlights and scores from our local high school football games.

Hermantown bested Duluth Denfeld in a back-and-forth battle 31-19 to end their regular season with a 7-1 record while on a five game winning streak. The Hunters completed their regular season 5-3.

Rock Ridge held off Duluth East 19-14 to finish 4-4, completing their first regular season at .500 in program history. The Greyhounds close out 2-6.

Barnum completed their second perfect regular season taking down South Ridge 55-7 to finish 8-0. The Panthers end with a 2-6 record.

Two Harbors shut out Hibbing 59-0 to end with a 7-1 record while earning their fifth straight win. The Bluejackets finish 2-6.

The Minnesota section playoffs begin on Tuesday. Wisconsin prep football teams close out their regular seasons Thursday and Friday. For more Northland scores, go to the WDIO Scoreboard.
